Gus Martin

About me

I'm a multimedia journalist with a passion for storytelling, especially through the lens of sports.

I was born in Canada, grew up in southern New Jersey near Philadelphia, graduated from the University of Maryland's Philip Merrill College of Journalism and have held three different positions across two publications during three years in Indiana.

​

I began as a sports-obsessed aspiring writer and have developed into a multi-faceted reporter (writer, editor, photographer, videographer, social media presence) who can cover happenings on and off the field. In an every-changing industry, I have adapted to positive trends and will continue finding how to best connect with my audience.

Sports is still my focus, yet I've realized that I'm capable of, and enjoy, finding the ideal way to convey someone's story, regardless if they're a star quarterback or business owner or superintendent or community member.
